New H.K. Style BBQ Skewers

Ingredients

300g HK Style BBQ (Vege. Char Siow)
adequate Cucumber, Carrot and Potato
1tsp Oil

 

Char Siow Sauce

5tbsp Minced Bean Paste
5tbsp Light Soy Sauce
1tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
5tbsp Maltose
1tbsp Sesame Oil
1tbsp Oil
1litre Water
Adequate Corn Flour Solution (for thickening)

 

Method
1. Deep fry HK Char Siow in hot oil until golden brown, remove and drain. Cut into slices or pieces.
2. Cucumber, carrot and potato cut into pieces and boiled, to string up HK Char Siow with bamboo sticks to be skewers.
3. Heat up oil in a pan, stir fry minced bean paste till fragrant, then place in other ingredients, bring to a boil and thicken the gravy with corn flour solution.
4. Spread sauce on the skewers and serve.
